P&A components

Various components affect the label printing process and its application. They determine such issues as, for example, the operating costs of the equipment used, or the speed and quality of work performed by tchem.

The following components are used in Print & Apply solutions:

  1. Zebra printing engine,
  2. sensors,
  3. display.

Details below.

Zebra printing engine

An element such as Zebra printing engine has a dual function. First, it helps eliminate downtime that results from inconsistent print quality (the printer can work with little wear on the printhead without any interference). Secondly – in the long run – it helps reduce the cost of operating the printer. In other words, it guarantees quality as well as lasting results.

In this case, different formulas of thermal tapes (coloring tapes; ribbons) apply. Choose what best suits your specific needs. And these are:

  • wax ribbons for standard printing on paper materials – they are particularly useful when printing general-purpose labels, as well as where precise printing of small fonts and high abrasion resistance is necessary – printing speeds of up to 250 mm / sec can be achieved. (in the standard version) or up to 300 mm / sec. (at high efficiency);
  • wax-resin ribbons perfectly resistant to chemicals for printing on paper and synthetic materials – they work well for printing on coated and uncoated Zebra paper, as well as many matte synthetic materials; guarantee very good resistance to scratches, smudging, everyday chemicals and higher temperatures – print speeds of up to 200 mm / sec can be achieved here. (at high efficiency, even with rotated bar codes) or up to 250 mm / sec. (in premium version);
  • resin ribbons ensure the highest resistance to chemicals and heat on synthetic materials – they guarantee excellent print quality and durability in the toughest applications; are particularly suitable for printing dense bar codes and high resolution graphics; they also offer excellent resistance to abrasion and chemicals, as well as to extreme temperatures – the printing speed is up to 150 mm / sec.

Not only that, such solutions help eliminate problems such as inconsistent print quality or scanning difficulties, but the life of the printhead itself is even longer. And this in turn lowers the final cost of operating the printer.

Sensors

Sensors work in two ways. First of all, they warn if the packaging is incorrect (this is indicated by a red screen). Secondly, consecutive three erroneous readings block the entire system. It is then necessary to unlock it with a password, as well as carefully check why the wrong packaging was selected.

Display

The display gives full access to the program installed in the applicator – the one that is used to print labels. The more extensive the touch screen is, the greater the area to show off. First of all, in this way you can indicate the appropriate record, located in the already embedded database. In addition, it also allows you to print the label consciously (via a command from the local printer display).
